Since 1979, The Center for Effective Living has been the premier private practice group in Northeast Ohio for psychotherapy and counseling for individuals and families.  Our experienced professional staff comes to us from the various disciplines within the mental health field.  As a result of the diversity of our staff, we have people trained and knowledgeable in the latest methods and procedures to treat a wide range of problems from communication issues to mental health disorders.

Special Services for Doctors and Lawyers.

One of the strongest features of our practice is our evaluations programs.  We conduct psychological evaluations for patients in pain management programs to determine the suitability of opiate pain medications, spinal cord implants, and other procedures.  We also provide evaluations of patients who wish to undergo certain plastic surgery procedures.  Additionally, our experienced evaluators provide psychological assessments for bariatric bypass surgery  candidates.

Divorce and the Family.

Many of our staff have special expertise working with families that are going through divorce.  We realize that the process of divorce is often a painful one for parents and children alike, but we can assist you in avoiding the typical mistakes along the way, making the process less of an ordeal.  We are willing to help with child and family counseling, child custody evaluations, and divorce mediation services that can help you avoid the agony and expense of litigation.
