 Michael B. Leach, Ph.D.
 Clinical and Forensic Psychologist

Dr. Leach is co-director and founder of the Center.  He is a graduate of Brown University and received advanced degrees at Case Western Reserve University.  He was a National Institutes of Mental Health Fellow at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.  Michael is a qualified divorce mediator.  He also provides domestic relations court evaluations at the request of attorneys and judges.  He spends a good deal of his time counseling couples and offering intensive short-term counseling for individuals and families coping with divorce.

 Deborah A. Koricke, Ph.D.
 Clinical and Forensic Psychologist

Dr. Koricke is co-director of the Center, and manages our Lakewood office.  Her background in corporate management as the former EEO director for BP America gives her particular insight in dealing with varied work-related problems including complaints of sexual harassment and other stresses of the workplace.  In addition, Debbie is a skilled psychologist, offering client counseling and psychological evaluation as well as consultation to criminal attorneys.

 Mark A. Cohen, Psy.D.
 Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Cohen works with individuals at both ends of the spectrum.  He is a talented child psychotherapist and is also skilled at offering parent guidance.  His other specialty is in dealing with adults and senior citizens who require detailed neuropsychological examination to determine the effects of an accident, head injury, stroke, or the aging process on cognitive functioning.

 Nancy J. Huntsman, Ph.D.
 Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Huntsman has extensive experience as a psychologist in the courtroom.  In addition to her private practice, which is limited to forensic evaluations in out-of-county cases, Nancy is affiliated with Cuyahoga County’s Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, the Cleveland Municipal Court, and the Justice Center’s Court Clinic.

 Christine Elliot, Ph.D.
 Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Elliot is a versatile psychologist who enjoys providing counseling to teens and adults, including couples’ and family counseling.  She is skilled in the specialized area of Christian counseling.

 Cassandra B. Morton, M.Ed., M.A.
 Psychotherapist

Cassandra had prior careers as a New York actress, an interior designer, and a medical illustrator before settling down in the 1970’s to a career in counseling, which she has done ever since.  Her approach to treatment is eclectic, combining client-centered and existential elements in dealing with identity problems, depression, grief, and couples’ issues.  Cassandra also does a lot of family counseling.

 Sandra E. Turner, Ed.S., LPCC, LICDD
 Professional Counselor

Sandy has strong background in providing counseling to adults and teens.  She is also highly regarded as a specialist in the assessment and treatment of chemical dependency.  Prior to entering full-time private practice, Sandy directed chemical dependency programs at Glenbeigh Hospital and Family Health Association.  Sandy has also received specialized training in hypnosis and in family therapy.

 Bette Eisenstein
 Clinical Social Worker

Bette’s special practice area of interest is divorce.  She is a certified divorce mediator, and also provides therapy for adults who are going through or have recently divorced.

 Pamela Corrigan, M.A.
 Psychology Assistant

Pam is an assistant to Drs. Leach and Koricke.  She is a graduate of Brown University, and received her Masters’ degree in psychology from Cleveland State University.  Working under the supervision of a clinical psychologist, she provides assistance in diagnostic testing, and with counseling of children, adolescents and adults.

 Kimberly Thomas, M.A.
 Psychology Assistant

Kim provides assistance to Drs. Leach and Koricke in performing psychological testing and disability examinations.

 Matthew Liptensky
 Psychology Assistant

Matt is a graduate student in clinical psychology who provides assistance to Dr. Koricke as part of his advanced training.  He has particular interest in criminal justice, and participates in assessments at the request of criminal attorneys.

 Dan Trigiani
 Psychology Assistant

Dan is a graduate student in clinical psychology who provides assistance to Dr. Koricke as part of his advanced training.  He has a special interest in pain management, and assists Dr. Leach in performing pain evaluations.

 Clinical Social Worker

Eda is the “Phantom of the Center for Effective Living,” and while she is with us infrequently, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as a clinician in a variety of settings.
