David Brockett, M.M., M.Ed., LPC
David Brockett, M.M., M.Ed., LPC holds a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University and is a licensed clinical mental health counselor. He also holds degrees in Music Performance from The Cleveland Institute of Music and The University of Akron. He has been a performer for over 30 years, including several seasons playing with The Cleveland Orchestra. Neurological injury led to a shift in career focus, which includes his ongoing work with performers in mindfulness and meditation techniques for a variety of issues including performance anxiety. He has taught workshops in mindfulness, meditation, and mental health at several universities, including Northwestern University, Miami University, The Cleveland Institute of Music, and Cleveland State University. David’s specialties include working with depression, anxiety, stress management, self-esteem issues, drug/alcohol and other addiction issues, LGBTQ issues, as well as loss and grief.
